Vehicles in Germany's Town Discovered Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Authorities reported they were contacted by a resident who found a car in Hanau smeared with reddish liquid

Around fifty vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Cars, exterior walls and postal boxes were defaced, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement report they were alerted during the night on Wednesday, when a individual discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The substance had been drawn in the form of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Police then found many other vandalized cars and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are prohibited in Germany under legislation banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement report preliminary tests suggest the liquid was likely blood from a person.

"Currently there is no indication as to its origin; authorities are currently not aware of any physical harm in relation with the event," they stated.

Local authorities announced they were working "to solve the case" and have appealed to the community for information.

A high-ranking representative stated the vandalism rendered him without words and needed to be resolved quickly.

"This event hits the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the extremist violent incident five years ago," he posted on social media, recalling the killing of nine victims by a shooter targeting residents of migrant background in 2020.
