Two more people are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
